Alex (Malcom McDowell) es un muchacho híper agresivo y extraño, que no se adapta y descarga su furia en cosas absurdas y violentas. Encuentra placer en la violencia, disfruta violando a mujeres y jovencitas y como curiosidad siente pasión por Beethoven. Es el jefe de su propia banda LOS DRUGOS que descargan sus pasiones aterrorizando, no tienen moral. Alex es arrestado cuando cometen un crimen y allí en forma voluntaria se somete a un método experimental de reeducación.
