Sinopsis: Rodak aterriza en Tokio y contacta al famoso reportero Tom Mura, para dar a conocer al mundo sus ansias de gobernar el planeta. Miko el hijo de Tom, es buscado por Goldar, un inmenso robot justiciero, dorado y pelucón, oriundo del volcán Olímpico. Él vivía allí junto a su esposa-robot Silvar, y habían sido construidos por un viejo científico llamado Matusen. La pareja de robots le toman especial afecto a Miko, y Matusen fabrica una copia robot del niño (pero con antenas) al que le dan el nombre de Gam. Todos los robots podían transformarse en cohetes con cabinas incluidas; Goldar era el líder y el más poderoso y podía lanzar misiles de su pecho. Miko recibe un silbato para comunicarse con sus nuevos amigos (un pitido para Gam, dos para Silvar y tres para Goldar). La historia mostraría la intrincada y constante lucha de la metálica familia contra Rodak y otros repelentes mounstros.

Fue la primera serie televisisva tokusatsu en emitirse en color anticipándose a Ultraman por seis días,en hispanoamerica la transmisión corrió de 1970 a 1972,con sus respectivas repeticiones a través de la década de los 70's.
